This place is a hidden gem in Manalapan. It's one of those places that is not aestically pleasing on the outside so you might be weary about stopping in. Whenever I go for breakfast or lunch the place is full of locals that know the staff by name. The food is always excellent and very reasonably priced. I decided to write a review today because when I went for breakfast this morning the house was packed. I sat at the counter and watched the cook do his thing. I was impressed with how much he had going on at one time. By no means is this place a fancy dining experience but if you want good reasonably priced food with a local clientele atmosphere then this is definately worth giving a shot.

I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful breakfast as the Manalapan Luncheonette.
Nothing beats a rural quaint little local eatery where the locals swarm, the single handed waiters is fast and friendly and the food was downright delicious.
My hats off the the waitress she kept our coffee cups filled, worked the entire room, and took phone orders, all without missing a beat.
Just do yourself a favor and come have a country breakfast with a sense of history and a feel of middle America right here in the middle of New Jersey. -

After 35 years still my favorite lunch place to visit for the best pork roll sandwich or BLTs!! Still the same family owners.. They only except cash.. But it a must stop by after walking at the near by flea market..

There has been only one time we did not receive a good meal and we believe there was a different cook because we didn't recognize him and he didn't put the love in it.
Have never had much but go there frequently for breakfast. Yes, maybe the exterior reminds you of a factory. Yes, maybe the service isn't always stellar. Yes, maybe interior could use a upgrade from the 70's. But if you judge this establishment on its facade, decor or the fact it's a small staff with one cook and you might have to wait; then you'll miss out on some great food.
Where else can you get an omelet with cheese and other filling from one end to the other (hate when everything's in the middle and the ends are just flaps of egg and when you get to the other end is cold and disgusting).
Patience and understanding is paramount to mom & pop establishments that do everything from purchasing, prepping, preparing, taking orders, running register, delivering your food, taking care of your needs and sometimes childish attitudes.
Someone cared this place to a place in war torn Syria. I say, people in war torn Syria would jump at a chance Troop war or just be there. If your that impatient to wait or snooty to look down on these establishments then just drive by and go to Turning Point where snobs and kings.
Keep cooking with love and those who go there will keep coming and new, more understanding families with find this jewel.
